The advantage in feeling
Inside the DICON construction we have removed parts of the handles with a milling tool. 
This construction provides the following surprising advantages: direct contact between the player's hand and arm and the blade, and more feeling for power and speed of the blade. Transmission of power between player and ball is direct, therefore you have more control of the ball.
