one word: "meh"

if you want more words,
spin: 10/10 only if you get ur timing perfect cuz the sponge is pretty hard
speed: 10/10
control: 7/10 take it witha  grain of salt.. cuz if ur a pro.. u probably can control this 10/10

to me.. there is absolutely no advantage to get a 470 over a 430, unless u have a thing for hard sponges... im sure there are better rubbers out there in its category (as opposed to the 430 where i still havent found a better rubber in its category)

on the up side.. it's a pretty durable rubber (from all the plasma family)

please don't slam me...but I've been talking to all the top guys in HK that I can and they have come to the same conclsuion as me: the 430 just isn't powerful enough, especially on the forehand.

I think the 470 excels in spin and control compared to most tensors. But (as always) I went out to find one that excelled in speed and found JO Gold and I only have it in 2.0 and it's already a beast.

I have to agree there actually
the 470 has a fair bit more power. I feel that 430 loses some power after you wear it in a bit.

no need for slamming geko :).. if you like hard rubbers then the 470 is definitely great..i just dont.

silver: i think the 470 is quite a bit more durable than the 430 i wonder if it's the harder sponge?

hi guys

i used the 470 today and here is what i think:

  Thickness: 2.0mm(definitely not fast enough)
  Colour: Black, very grippy topsheet

Speed: the speed was not bad but it as definitely not as fast or bouncy as my Sriver EL glued, but it was not bad and it did resemble around 1.5 layers of glue imo and i am sure a thicker sponge 470 would be faster, the sponge was pretty hard

Spin: was pretty good, especially on loop drives and loop kills as the ball would penetrate the sponge more and the topsheet is very grippy which helps, but on slow loops there was not that much spin as the sponge was to hard for sufficient dwell time imo

Control: i found this rubber very easy to control, very good over the table, when playing touch rallies and flciking was not bad

Seving with this rubber was great, the grippy topshalleet provided plenty of spin and really gripped the ball

i will see how my CTE on 470 experiment turns out, i am only going to use 2/3 layers of CTE

It always amazes me that people say that Plasma 470 is Slow. Why not just get a faster blade, or hit it harder. Is their anything wrong with a faster arm swing.

Simon Gerada uses Plasma 430 with a Andro supercore ALL+ (in my opinion to slow), but he still manages to blast the ball past nearly all of his oppenants.  :?:

I have seen a few videos of Simon the guy get's a LOT of power behind his shots, blazing fast rubbers and blades are way way overated imo, although Asr got 470 2.0mm and probably uses max glued normally I am sure there is a bit of a difference.

I didn't say that Priior I said Asr normally glues max rubbers and he got a sheet of plasma 470 2.0.
I would imagine glued sriver max is faster than 470 2.0

When Simon was using Andro Rocket Medium, he would glue, and he said thy were better than any Mark V or Sriver he'd ever used.

Now that he uses the Plasma 430, he doesn't glue at all. (As his sponsor, I would forbid it anyway), whats the use of using a speedglue incorperated rubber, if your going to glue, you might as well use Inspirit.

i can assure you that my hand speed is quick

i don't want to change my blade because i am so used to it and ifind it hard to adjust to another blade,

my current blade is like an extension of my arm i am too attached and even though glue will be banned i don't want to change to a faster blade, because some faster blades have lack of dwell time
   BTW i use 2.1mm Sriver
