I know, I'm a Wavestone freak and really shouldn't be looking at any other blades as I always ends up disappointed, but! Rob managed to get me tempted with the Andro Zylon/Carbon blade, but the price killed off all interest in that one. So, I looked at the other Andro blades in the shop and found this beauty.

Not sure why, but as soon as Hinoki is mentioned, I start to drool and this blade has Hinoki in it, it is said to be rigid (97, out off 100 (assumption) according to the rating charts) and to be really spin friendly.

So any shared first hand experience with this blade is appreciated.

Noticed that Gekogark 1212 listed a Andro C. Süss OFF blade in the list he will review, but not sure if it is the Hinoki or not.

And yes, I do love the Wavestone blade(s) =) (And almost 10 sheets of Nittaku Best Anti!)

Rob would you say the Wavestone is along similar lines to the Gergely (which is sposed to have Hinoki outer layer too btw Speedplay LOL). I feel the Gergely is a refined and faster version of the Galaxy T-8, even though the carbon is different, the higher quality wood in the Gergely seems to soften it up a bit.

Similar in that they both have some form of Carbon - Thats where the similarity ends.

Ah, Hinoki *drool*

I think the Gergely is out of my price range. But the Andro C. Suss Hinkoi isn't that expensive, so I might try one of those sooner or later. Probably shouldn't as I'm more then pleased with the Wavestone, but I guess I don't have to tell you guys about the EJ urge, right

Hi Gazzer, I noticed your post in the FS section, but to be honest, I can get a brand new blade cheaper then the price you are asking for. But, thanks for the heads up.

I would appreciate if you could tell me something about how it plays.

Hey speedplay,
in my honest opinion Andro's ratings have always been a little inflated in the speed department (unless it has carbon in it, in which case it's pretty accurate). It feels quite soft, and has tremendous dwell, just that expect it to be a fair bit slower than the Wavestone.

So yes it is spin friendly, but I couldn't really get my power behind the ball.

Still tempted, bet it is the mentioning of Hinoki, but if it is slower then the Wavestone I'll probably still prefer the Wavestone as I need all the speed I can get from it.
