Need advice regarding new fh rubber!

As you all might know, I have used Roxon 450, loved it, then went on to use Roxon 500, had a hard time at first, but have managed to handle it, but still thinks I prefer the 450. Now, I'm about to place a new order from Rob and I was wondering which way I should go.

Should I play it safe and order some R 450 as it is tried and approved? Or, should I go with the EJ inside of me and try something new, like Barracuda, Hexer or splash the cash on Tenergy 05? Or, does Rob have something else that would be even better for me?

I'm currently leaning towards the Barracuda, but both Barracuda and Hexer is getting mixed reviews, some say that they are too slow, while other say they are plenty fast. People do seem to agree that they are spinny though, which is the most important part for me.

About the Tenergy, 95% of the reviews are positive, but I bet some of those are due to the BTY hype. Also, Tenergy is far more expensive then the other rubbers. Also, since Rob isn't the BTY distributor in Australia, he can't really compete with the price and I like to make my entire order from him, since he is about the only retailer who carries both the Wavestone blade and SGE rubbers.

And yes, I'm going to order yet another Wavestone as my old ones are beginning to get really messed up around the edges.

Tried and true R450 is the way to go. You may like Tenergy as it is spinny. But the Roxon is faster for anything but the spinniest loop. R450 is more versatile. Did you use it in 2.2 or 2mm? Try 2mm if you went in max before. And I'll have a sweet chilli prawn with peppers and onion!

I am still really surprised that people still think that Tenergy is Spinnier than Roxon 450, I think the point is that Roxon 450 is more dynamic and takes quite some time to het used to it. Once used to it, there is no going back to rubbers like Tenergy 05 or Hexer.

Infact Rubbers like Tenergy 64 or Bryce Speed Fx are much better choices for the future. Since BigEars has used both, and is a fan of Tenergy 05, could he please explain why he chose Tenergy out of the 2. Remembering that Tenergy is 2.1mm & Roxon 450 was 2.3mm

2.1mm will for sure give more control, which might have been the deciding factor.

Go for Hexer! ^^
I've switched from a supersoft BH rubber to the more allround JO Gold,
and Coppa Speed is soon to be replaced by a sheet of Hexer.

If you asked me, Tenergy + short game = magic! Hence my choice in Hexer.

I agree with the control issue, as I'd always used Max too. I just have this inkling that using slightly thinner aids increased spin...which is what I felt I got with 2mm Roxon. It sure didnt lack any power. And I don't think its less manly to use less than Max LOL. By all means try the Hexer, but I don't reckon when you've had the best, anything else will do.

I ended up ordering Hexer and Roxon 450. The Hexer was great, but demanded more fro me then the Roxon 450 does and it wasn't as durable, so although I'm still curious about the Tenergy, I think I'll stay with the Roxon 450 for now.

That is my secret, as I bet you all would like to be able to buy Roxon and Hexer as cheap as I do

I can tell you this much, I get them on discount. How ever, there is a shop that comes close to match the price I mentioned, but it is in USD and not in AUD, which still makes it more expensive then the ones I get.

Haven't bought anything from this store, but I think it is trustworthy, from reading others opinions about it.

What happened to Juic Couga?

The glue was banned Actually, I made the switch before the ban, I used 999 Elite Nano right before the ban. While Couga was/is a lovely rubber, quite decent even with out glue actually, I wasn't able to generate enough spin with it. No control issues, it was rather easy to handle in the short game, but the lack of spin made it hard for me to improve my game.

I tried some other brands SGE rubbers as well, but like Rob, I found that Roxon was the best (for me) so now I'm a Roxon pimp
