DO?

Hey fellas,
There's a guy at the club that I have been attending here of late, and he plays with Yasaka Do. The old Chinese rubber that's very much Chinese like, with a Japanese brand. What current rubber would be the absolute closest to this rubber? This rubber has crazy tack. It's quite a bit tackier than my SP. Any suggestions would be great!

I had a friend that also requested a similar rubber - to date I have not been able to find one that comes even remotely close. I dare say that its probably illegal to have a rubber with so much tack, and that why a replacement is so difficult to find.

Aight! I don't really have any idea for him either. I felt that thing in comparison to my SP and it was about 5 times at tacky as my SP. That is really unique rubber.

Haven't tried the Yasaka DO, but the tackiest rubber I have tried is the Globe 999, especially the black national version. H3 is also rather tacky. Then there is the Pf4 that I haven't used, but it is rumoured to be really tacky. Not sure if that is still approved though.

And yes, I do love the Wavestone blade(s) =) (And almost 10 sheets of Nittaku Best Anti!)

I have a few Globe 999's and the SP is a little tackier still, but it's not even close to this Yasaka Do stuff. It's wierd. He pressed an old 38 mm ball and swung his paddle around semi aggressively and it wasn't going to budge. I bet it wouldn't be legal now, but it was discontinued quite a few years before all the crazy this is illegal, and that is illegal stuff started going around.

999 isn't as tacky as it is billed. Nowhere near that tacky. Holds the ball one second tops brand new. RITC 2000 is way tackier and there must be at least a dozen rubber like it out there. I use and like 999 for either wing with my favored quattro sponge. the tack can wear off to lightly tacky if you let it. ( I DO let it get that way - I like it only lightly tacky with decent speed )
YEah. yasaka DO is and old-ass rubber 4 sure.
