Gewo?

Hello Rob,

Any chance you will be getting some Gewo rubbers in the shop or is there already another dealer down under? From what I've heard, these rubbers are state of the art, but buying them here costs and arm and a leg, so that's not an option.

I actually tried it on Kouros bat, the day we played each other in the Vic Vets Open. Guess who the victor was on the day. Guess this C grade player was lucky.

Speedplay, he doesn't have a website. I think if you PM Mars, he might be able to get a contact email for you. I believe Kouros is into IT, so he should have an email address. He's a really nice guy.

Thanks Rob, but I don't want to get to much involved with it since I don't know if I actually will buy one. It all depends on the price.

He is working on getting a TT site up showcasing all Gewo products & their prices.

He has just received a new shipment of the latest Gewo "Stratos" sound & energy rubbers and I had a very brief hit with the energy max and it seems to offer a step up in speed and control from the existing proton series.
Rob if you had a hit at of his shakehand blade at the Vets it was probably still the proton rubbers but I could be wrong.
 
Hopefully I will be getting 1 of the these rubbers to test for myself this week and will report back more later if anyone is interested.
On a side topic I am also dying to get my hand on a new Neo hurricane 3 or 2 anyone know anything. Guess I  should start a new topic?

Gees, did he have the flu and 2 cracked ribs that day? I've seen him play and he's streets ahead of Mars generally.
Thats a very impressive win for a C grader!  ;) Kouros is a nice guy, but surely not so nice he'd LET you win!

Got a sheet of the newest Gewo rubber yesterday and had a quick hit.  It was a sheet of red Stratos Sound max thickness, the sponge is meant to be 42 degrees and it definitely feels softer then the Proton 450 (45 degrees).
Feels a little faster again than the proton series but spin appears to be the same, it seems to matches up well with my hard blade. Only hit with it for about 1-2hrs so will report more later if anyone is interested.
I think I will like it more on FH as I prefer a harder sponge on the BH

Gees Mars, I haven't got around to cutting the Proton yet (because R450 just lasts so long and stays in such good nic - not complaining lol). So how much is this Stratos setting one back for a sheet? Same as Proton or dearer?

Your in Europe. you should be able to order one closer to your home. Isn't there a distributor in Iceland or Greenland???

Yes, I should be able to order closer to home, but most of the time, it works out cheaper to order from down under. Guess it's something with taxes and stuff.

With quality posting (or was it quantity?) you get respect ;)

I still haven't tried Gewo, cause byuing them here is as expensive as buying Tenergy and that is were I draw the line, it is simple to much money for a rubber according to me.
