Yes, it is finally time for the competition and the price, sponsored by ATT is a sheet of Milkyway Jupiter Rubber. The winner could return the favour by making a review of the rubber ;)

Now, how to win? Easy, me and Rob have decided to trade some rubber, so I've sent him 2 sheets of Nittaku best anti and in return, he have sent me 2 sheets of Gambler Outlaw! I do think we will both review the rubber once we have played them, but the question for you is figure out when they will arrive!

All rubbers were sent out less then 24 hours ago. One guess per member, that's the deal, and the one who comes closest to the correct answer will win. If two members comes equally close, decision will be made by me and Rob, most likely by a draw, but lets hope some one nails both the dates so we don't have to do this.

I'll give you a hint, the quickest delivery I've ever had from Down under was with in 5 working days, while the slowest was 16 working days.

Perhaps I wasn't clear enough, as the idea was to guess for the arrival of both packages, but perhaps all of you think they will both arrive on the same day?

Now, w2e'll have to count it from the arrival of the first package, so no need to guess any further. Your guesses are matched to the arrival of the first package, could be fun to see who gets it first. My guess is Rob, not because Swedish postal service will be quicker in sending it, but simple because I'm born with bad luck and slow deliveries

Mate, you dont know what bad luck is, How many people do you know that have torn there ACL playing Table Tennis. :'(
I dont think my server has enough space to hold all the stories of Bad luck. Could be all the ladders I walked under when I worked as a painter, or all the black cats my wife used to own.

My guess is that I will recieve it before Speedplay, because the postal service in Sweden is privately run by TNT, who I believe is a global courier, whereas Australia Post is only based in Australia. (thats probably why they are called Australia Post

)

If we have a tie between 2 members, then we will have a dual. >:D

Well I reckon my snapped achilles playing TT beats your torn ACL Rob LOL. Actually I did it in the Savigas and haven't been game to wear them since. I now wear a higher back shoe. Might have still happened as it was one of those freak accidents, but I lost confidence in them after that.

As for bad luck and ladders, that may be both our curse Rob, given I also worked as a painter lol.

Speedplay's package will arrive at Rob's Shop or house around June 28, 2009 around 11 AM and Rob's Package sent to Speedplay will arrive around July 1, 2009 at 10 AM. I will have a hit with Jupiter and discover withing the first hour that I cannot operate it as proficiently as JKC does.

No, I'm actually blessed to have her, but I've got a dislocated knee cap during the game, so I guess I've had my spell of bad fortune as well.

But when it comes to deliveries, I seem to be the one guy they always forget at the postal office :( Then again, this time, I'm in no hurry as I don't expect it to arrive before the venue closes for the season, so I won't be able to try the rubbers out until the start of next season. So, judging by that, I probably get them the day after the venue closes so I have them in my hand, but with out a chance of having a decent hit with them ::)

Well, Guess what - My package arrived Today. Thats the 23rd of June 2009 - late morning. The 2 rubbers have travelled from Sweden, the home of the best ever player - Speedplay (did I say something wrong :-\ ::)) to Melbourne Australia in less the 6 Days.

I will leave it up to Speedplay to announce the winner of the Milkyway Jupiter rubber.

I've exchanged rubbers with a couple of people over the net and they have all had their rubbers arriving before I've gotten mine. I think some one at the postal office have something against me... Might want to go Postal on them! >:D

I was playing with 2mm Jupiter, on my Persson Powerplay Senso V1; down the club last night.

p.s. Thank you to Rob and Speedplay for running the competition. Without them, i wouldn't have been lucky enough to win a sheet of jupiter.

Reb, I just wanted to try out a 2.0 rubber to see what extra control I get. I have always used 2.2 or max for Chinese rubbers. I think the BTY TBS has enough top end power for even a 2.0 rubber, let alone Outlaw. I wanted to see how much harder it is to sponge loop and how much easier it is to drive the ball over my other 2.2 or max Chinese rubbers. Too bad my tryout will have to happen during a sanctioned tourney.

You are free to hold a comp when ever you want, as long as you sponsor the price for it. I don't think it is fair to ask Rob to have comps every week, in fact, we should be happy that he arranges them at all.

How was the 2mm Jupiter on the TBS?

Regarding the sheet of Jupiter I won in the competition, that's on a Stiga Allround classic with a straight handle and DHS 652 short pips on the backhand.

It was Outlaw 2.0 and even in 2.0, it had enough pace. It works out just fine for my style of BH driving, blocking, and counter driving. I didn't do too many opening BH loops as i am way too FH early committing lately.
