Tell me this is coming!
« on: November 08, 2007, 12:03:44 PM »
Rob,
I have played the Donic Sonex JP rubber, and I really enjoyed it.  Tell me you have Donic Sonex JP Gold coming.  This is a tensor that highly interests me.  Until today I had no idea Donic made this in a tensor.

If it's like Sonex JP, or Sonex JP Soft with quality inbuilt speed glue effect then I have interest for certain.

Wasn't Sonex JP a formula donic rubber?
Formula Donic = Tensor.

Huh?  I guess it is!  Hey Rob you happen to have Sonex JP Soft coming?  In that being said what's the point of making JP Gold then Silver?

No mate, out of luck again. Its funny how we are all differant, I grew up on Donic Rubbers, and the Sonnex Series just didn't do anything for me. I think it might have been a bit inconsistant at the time.

I have the JO Gold, JO Silver, Desto F1, F2, F3 & F# Big Slam, Anti A40, Supersonic S40, & JO Walder, Coppa Tagora. Got lots of blades coming, Tracksuits Top, Shorts, the new Rubber Tuner, the Voc free glue's etc.

With my next order, I will increase the rubber range considerably.. SORRY.

Ain't no thing bro!

There's a few guys at the club that play Donic rubbers.  I am going to ask if I can give some of them a try.

That's like saying what's the point of making Desto F1, F2, F3 etc, making Plasma 380, 430, 470.

Some people want glue effect rubbers with harder sponges, faster speeds, others like softer sponges, slower speeds.. but with the same top sheet. Hence the Gold and Silver versions.

I'm looking forward to the Bigslam- just for the sound, and the JO Silver edition.

Having looked more at Donic's line of rubbers.  Almost all of their rubbers are tensors.

I think Andro was the first, but I'm not sure. Andro/Joola/Donic anyway

Not really.
They've got about 10?
Out of about 30?

Just counted. 12/41

Compare to Andro who have maybe 4 non-tensor rubbers?

Donic came out with the Desto F1, F2 series many years ago, and then  Butterfly came up with Catapult as their version of a glue effect rubber.

Andro has only been quite recent.

I learnt to play with F3, then F2, F1 and Finally F1 S. Untill it was deleted. I think they were very good rubbers. That was when I was playing with A Applegren All+ Balde.

Might feel a bit slow these days.

I may have a very biased view on Donic rubbers, but even now (after taming the O2) I find the F1 and F2 rubbers out of control in the short game. They're just so bouncy! But over the table looping they suddenly seem really slow.

I recall looking like this -> in the close to mid distance lol.

Although I must say the F1-HS doesn't have the short game problem, and is actually quite playable. Again this is all IMO, please don't slam me :D

Have they taken strides to improving the durability of their product?  I remember reading quite awhile ago that the Donic rubbers were really fragile.  Then I read that they are trying to correct this.  I never really heard anything else.  Are they less fragile now than they used to be?
