Since changing to this new forum, I've noticed that we have some sort of Karma thing going. What is the deal with that?

How does it work, how do you earn good or bad Karma?

There you go mate, I liked your post so I gave you a Plus Karma. Hopefully you wont get to many. I think if they had the same system at MyTT - I'd be about -1 million Karma. >:D

Yes it is and with a little luck, if we all can maintain our posting rate for a little while, we might be able to attract new members and make this forum active enough to stay alive on its own.

Do people get to see who has smited them? As I want to be really nasty behind peoples backs and yet still retain my status as 'clearly the most popular member of the forum' and alround nice guy.

If you know who smited me, let me know. My guess is they didn't agree with my opinion of one of speedplay's rubbers, i.e. Butterfly Anti spin.

LOL, I haven't been able to find the Smite info anywhere, as I'm interested about that my self. Or, actually, I might not be so interested in finding out who Smite me, but rather which post it was. How can we improve if we aren't awear of which of our posts are considered to be bad?

Peter, I haven't Smited you, as far as I know, but try mentioning some bad things about Wavestone and you will see what Smite means >:D

Ah I'm always misjudged! But I agree with Speedplay (this doesn't happen often lol), how can we know what upset someone if we don't know what it was for.

Apologies if you thought I was implying the smite was from you. All I was doing was pointing out which post I thought might have resulted in the smite.

Regarding the Wavestone, I was using it at coaching today, with two new 2mm sheets of Jupiter and was happy with it's performance. Total bat weight was 194 grams, but it didn't feel heavy when swinging it; quite the opposite, it felt comfortable, natural and my looping was consistent.

I've noticed that over the two years, that I've played better with set ups in the 178-194 gram range; which makes me wonder if playing with lighter set ups, can affect my natural rhythm and timing.

Give me a 200 gr plus brick of a bat and let me have at it. The only light bat I could possibly operate is a combo Inverted/LP and you won't see me using it unless I am scouting.

Der and Peter, I used to use a 200g bat and thought similarly that a lighter bat not only threw out my rhythm but reduced my power. As I EJ'd around and also went to sponged pips and then Ox pips, I slowly found my bat weights decreasing. Now I use a 145g bat and get well and truly enough power from it to blast past anyone I come up against, which has included some pretty good A grade players in the mix. I find the lightness of the bat I've now sync'd in with as far as rhythm goes (probably because I incrementally got lighter) and the increased maneuvrability has only helped my game. And it tires my arm less to play longer too. Picking up my 17kg daughter and swinging her around keeps the biceps in shape, so I don't miss the heavy bat now LOL.

This Kama is getting quite interesting. I notice that JKC, DerEtche & I have all postive Kama (I need lots of Kama at the moment). But Speedplay, Reb & PeterC have Negative as well as Positive. Was it something they wrote that caused it ? ???

Beats me. I was doing jumping jacks trying to get people to hit the smite button and turn me into a "bad boy" with zero results. I have given out 5 positive karmas so far as I call it as I see it. Did I forget to "applaud" Peter C for his recent posts of Rory Gallagher vids. Somebody start singing "SHIN KICKER"...

This kind of showes what I've been saying all along on OOAK, a system like this will never work as people will use it against people rather then against posts. Still, could be fun to look back at and have a good laugh, lets see who reaches 100 first, good or bad!
