How to seal your blade & stick rubbers on with Free Glue

http://www.andro.de/media/androFree_en.swf

Do's & Dont's
1. Make sure you allow at least 12 hours for the Free Seal to Cure.
2. Make sure you wash the sponge on the free seal Bottle.
3. When Applying the Free Glue ensure that you have an even amount on the sponge and blade (not to much)
4. Make sure you allow enough time for the Free Glue to dry completely (it will change from a milky color to transparent).
5. You can use a hair dryer to speed this process up.
6. When the Free Glue is completely dry on both surfaces - apply the rubber and cut.
7. Dont forget to wash the little sponge on the Free Glue Bottle
The above rules apply to the following products: Andro Free Glue, Donic Vario Clean,  Donic Formula First, Butterfly Water Chack

If you are going to use Butterfly Fit Chack, then there is no need to apply glue to the blade - Just the sponge.

I like the look of using that glue. It looks very easy to use, and appealing to use.

Is it your favourite glue Rob?
I am addicted to edge tape.

Been playing for: 10 months (7 at a club)
Blade: Donic Opticon RS
FH: Andro Roxon 450 (2.0)

I use either the Andro Free Glue or the Donic Vario Glue - they are both similar and work. In your case the Copydex. :-X

Hey Rob,

I just purchased a bottle of Andro Free Glue. I haven't played TT for about 8 months, and last purchased some in April last year, so I'm a little behind in the TT technology stakes at the moment.

Is the Andro Free Glue a water based 'speed' glue, or just a normal glue. ie. is it similar to the old Butterfly Fair Chack, Tibhar Rapid Clean etc which had a speedglue effect, or is it like the Butterfly Clean chack which pretty much just stuck you rubbers to your blade and only had an effect on tensor rubbers.

Also, what is the best way to apply it? I assume the 500ml bottle doesn't come with anything to apply the glue to the blade/rubber - should I just use the brush from an old glue can?

Its just a regular water based glue. No speed glue effect at all.
Have you seen the video that we produced, showing how to apply the OX pimples to the blade. All the steps are the same except there is no need to use the spinmax.

Yup i watched that video, my problem is that I won't have the sponge applicator that the little bottle of free glue has, the 500ml bottle just looks like it has a nozzle.

Would it be better to find a sponge similar to the one on the smaller bottle apply the glue, or should I just use a brush like how the old VOC glues used to be applied?

Why don't you buy one of the 25ml things with the sponge as well, and just refill that from the 500ml bottle?

Dont Use a brush, it applies to much glue. This is what I use. If you find alternative foam Brushes make sure it has open pores in the sponge

For the amount I would get in the bottle, it wasn't really worth it at the time, because of the extra shipping cost (same if I get a bottle now).

Also, I didn't really think about how to apply the glue - whoops! The 500ml bottle just seemed better value, and I didn't look into it in enough detail I guess.

I'll see if I can find a decent sponge, otherwise I'll have to make another order.

That was my dilemma in maybe getting the 500ml as well, as it is such good value! I ended up getting Copydex, as it came with a brush, is good value, and I probably didn't need 500ml, eh?!
