Fred's 6th Birthday Vid
« on: April 14, 2009, 10:04:22 AM »
I know it is less than 6 weeks since the last vid, but I think he has made quite a big improvement during this time and I was doing a video for his birthday anyway so I might as well post a link.
This vid shows fred playing a little further from the table and also a little of him playing against LP but mostly just playing rallies.

I have another 5 gears to go through yet. We will find out soon how good he is when someone hits the ball a little harder at him. ;) You are right though, he will beat me before to long. I think I have a couple of years before he does it the first time and maybe 3 before he does it regularly, and I am ranked in the top 150 in the UK. How quickly he grows could be a key factor (as well as whether he keeps playing). Future videos should get a whole lot more competitive anyway. I think we have reached the stage where he can have benefits for my game too.

Unless he is talented beyond all limits, I would hope that you keep on beating him until he is 11-12 years old. Swedish number one amongst 11 year old boys plays at our club and I still manage to beat him every now and then. About a year ago, I won a lot more then I lost, now it is the other way around, but I still manage to get him now and then.
