I would rather leave the review to someone thats not associated with the Shop - IF I give a good review, I get told that its because I sell them, If I give a bad review, the manufacturer scolds me. You Cant Win only lose.

I have tried them - and yes they are Good - The control is too slow for me, the Offensive is definitely Offensive.
Blade finish is excellant - and I believe that they are very reasonably priced. On some other Forums they have compared them to the Andro Cell blades, but I can honestly say they have a very differant feel to them.

Any Victorian boys are welcome to come over and try them and write a review. Good or Bad

Well I'm extremely impressed with the Cayman, so much so that its now my prime setup over the HK. So I wondered what other Donic stuff was good. When I saw these the manufacturing process sounded interesting and the blades looked funky. I know Purger has chosen a Donic blade as his main setup over the HK as well. The Enforce I think it was. The Dima Sawtec is a lovely little blade as well. So I am taking more of an interest in Donic now.

I can surely see how you are caught between a rock and a hard place rob with reviews on your stuff. Maybe I'll get Purger to come over and try the Epox's and he can do some reviews lol. I'd come over, but I thought going to Coburg was quite an adventure lol.

I thought the Cayman was a reasonable blade, with Innova Light; but I wouldn't buy one, because I prefer some of the other Donic blades.

The Dima Sawtec is a very good blade and I use it with 2mm 729 blue label and 2mm 729 tackpseed, as my main league bat. The Sawtec has very good control and the spin I can generate with 729 rubbers means I can vary speed, spin and placement, throughout a match.

A practice partner; uses a Donic Persson Powerspeed, with 2mm J O Silver and 2mm Supersonic S40. The J O Silver on the forehand is a very quick rubber and not very forgiving of a mistimed or mishit shot. It's an interesting experience using it. The Supersonic S40 works on the backhand of this blade for me, but it wouldn't be my choice on the forehand. My practice partner is also finding out that a fast set up can be harder to control in the short game and the variations of speed and spin on my serves, means I win points when he misjudges the serve

I've not tried the Epox blades, but I'd guess the Epox Control is a modern take on the Applegren Allplay and the Epox Power Allround a modern take on the Persson Power Allround. Both the Applegren Allplay and Persson Power Allround are blades I rate. So I would expect these two Epox blades to be decent blades.

The Applegren Allplay Senso V2 is one of my favourite Donic blades and the Senso V1 is not far behind. Both are versatile blades, that are fun to play with. I liked the throw of these blades, making them ideal for loopers.

One of the local coaches use the Persson Power allround, with J O Silver. It's one very quick set up and requires good technique to harness it's power and speed.

One of my teammates uses the discontinued Waldner Offensive 40 with Bryce Speed FX and Donic Quattro. It is a good quality, offensive minus 5 ply blade, with a really comfortable anatomical handle. I've used it many times and like it.

My defensive teammate uses a Donic XStrait with 2mm Vario. I find his bat a bit too slow for my liking, but it suits his game. The Donic Xstrait is a reasonable blade, which I used in 2005/2006, with Mark V mk 2. It's okay for a defender of someone using it as a first bat, but the Applegren and Persson blades; are better blades altogether.

Whilst i didn't rate Donic Vario on the Xstrait, I liked it on the Yasaka Gatien Extra; particularly for looping and driving.

Some interesting thoughts and comments there Peter. I guess we all get different feels and experiences from different blades and rubbers. I certainly agree the Sawtech is a very nice feel blade, but I prefer the feel from the Cayman. Its light and powerful. It gives me the ability to move quickly and apply speed to the ball. On shorter shots, the power turns down drastically and allows for good touch. I think we agree that Donic seem to produce good blades overall though. The Cayman and the Sawtech were my first and only experiences of them and they set a good impression. I'm seriously considering buying a second Cayman to test other rubbers on, I like it so much. Not sure about Innova light as I've not used it, but Tango on the Cayman really feels good. I suspect other tensors would too.

Hi Peter,
I just thought to ask you, is your Dima the speedster or the standard sawtech? I assume the standard which is what I have, but have you seen the speedster. Looks nice! I wonder if that's an update. It looks like it might be.

Reb

Mine is a Dima Sawtec.

I'm not aware of anyone who owns or plays a Dima Speedster.
