Reborn: take everything u read on the internet with a grain of salt.. People who think rubbers wear off in a few months are either pros (and i dont mean amateurs who think they're pro like all of us here) or rubber snobs (who convince themselves "it's the rubbers fault"). Sure rubbers change over time.. but at the rates that most of us play even the most fragile rubber should last a good 6 months... if not more.

one of the best ranked players in our club, used to play with 2 yr old plasma 380's. (he recently changed) It;s an extreme.. but it shows it's more technique and less equipment...

Or sometimes they litterally suck at not hitting the table.  I play this guy at the club he's a good player, but he's 4'10" (looks like David and Goliath when we play).  Anyway he hits the table all the time, so the only thing he uses is Mark V cause it is the longest lasting jap/euro rubber for him.  Too bad too cause he could use something with a little more pop in it.

I can see why you're saving for the Xiom rubber Skippy. $40+ a sheet. Ouch! So now I see why you've been using the Dawei. So you really think the Xiom rubbers are worth it?
Slippery the Cougar claims to be the fastest rubber on the market, but also wears out in a couple of months apparently. I'm not rich enough to delve into that pot. When we talk speed here, what is the difference we are talking? Is it mainly more speed off lower powered shots. When I hit a smash off just about anything I use it doesn't come back. SO I'm guessing the speed is not a factor so much in smashes. Is it in loops perhaps that slow loops are in comparison to other rubbers very quick still?

They cost me around $30 + ship which is a below average cost for a german tensor.  I know a guy who know's a guy, who robbed a guy.  The Joola's and Donic's are both more expensive.  I don't know if they are worth it.  When I have played it for a couple months I'll know, and either I'll get another one for my forehand or I'll go back to my Chinese stuff.  I suspect Rob's not worried that I won't like it.  Alot of my motivation as to what is a good match for my blade.  The softer tensors are supposed to be a spectacular match for the Strad.  This I believe cause the rubber I am playing on my forehand is about as similar to a german tensor that I can get in the Chinese market.

OK OK OK ..... lets get back to the original topic of what rubbers i should get

now i have revised my 4 picks and am thinking of going with donic F2 and F3 big slam, xiom omega 1 euro version 35*, and for the forth one im thinking andro plasma 380, impulse speed or joola energy extra

so there are six rubbers listed here and would love to hear anything about these six rubbers and not any other ones ...not to be rude, but there r just to many options out there, and i wanna get it down to 4 tensors that i think will be the best for my game right now

thank you all for sharing your views

What blade are you playing again?  I am not sure if anyone actually carries the Euro version of Omega I, but I'll let you know how the Euro version of Omega II performs on the Stradivarius in a couple days tops.

Gee, if you guy's thought that the tensors were to fragile, then watch out. The Omega 1 Euro Version has about a 35 degree sponge, which would make it so fragile.
It would also be so soft that it would bottom out on most blades, To use such a soft sponge, the topsheet has to be tensioned a lot, otherwise you would get the ball hitting the wood of the blade.

I wait to hear your Review Pokerpete.

i know tensors must be differant ...but i have yasaka 30* on my backhand and it is just fine for me

so the 35* shouldn't be a problem for me

i think i will be putting the softer 35* rubbers on the backhand and maybe the F2 on the forhand

here r the rubbers on reveiw once agian any comments welcome, donic F2 and F3 big slam, xiom omega 1 euro version 35*, and for the forth one im thinking andro plasma 380, impulse speed or joola energy extra

thanks agian guys

just because they call it Yasaka 30, does not mean it is 30 degree's compared to the Xiom products, will will find that the yasaka 30 is more like 40 degree's.

For your Forhand, I would go for the Hardest one in your list, and that would be the Donic desto F2

I agree.
You hear people saying that Mark V 30 is the softest rubber ever, whinging about it being too soft and etc etc, but it's really not that soft compared to some tensors. It's only a couple of degrees softer than butterfly sriver fx and pretty much on par with some tensors.

I should also point out that the mark V topsheet is harder than a few of tensor topsheets.
