The good old days (kind of old)

Does anyone remember playing with a rubber like donic Coppa and speed gluing it for 2 weeks. Then after those 2 weeks peeling off the glue layer and putting a thin layer on to play a tournament with?
Is there anything out there(rubber or legal under the counter method of replicating that feeling)?
And if you say try Coppa gold/platinum/silver ect. I will run as fast as I can to the grand canyon and yell so loud that the echo will carry on for a week.

well' I've had these arguments before with people who try to tell us that modern 'speed glue effect' rubbers are anything like using proper speed glue, I even go back to the days when the glue was absolutely unlicensed, vulcanising glues from garages were the order of the day, Pang and Tiptop were the top brands and make a 'tock' noise that you just can't believe. Whatever someone is about to tell you, there is no way any method of replicating that feeling, even with tuners/oils.
this is the stuff of dreams for speed/spin/touch, and turning a cheap Chinese rubber into something special;

Never used speed glue, but from what I know of it, there is nothing legal as Biggie has said.
